Thank you for visiting my website

I'm Deborah and this is my own little site.

In the glossy 'Countryside' magazine, I was recently featured in an article for Woolweek.

The piece was based around wool producers who create and produce items from their own flocks Something that just so happens to be just my thing (being a farmer).

My objective here is to keep you updated on my pictures and products as they become available.

I have a lot of big ideas that I am going to be launching over the coming months.

You’re welcome to join me on this journey and you’re welcome to follow my Instagram should you wish ðŸ˜Š

What We Offer

I offer bespoke pictures created from my own hand spun yarn and commercial wools . I create a range of pictures, from highland cows to chickens to country landscapes, depending on where my imagination takes me. Many of my pieces are inspired by the beautiful Yorkshire landscape around me and are created with love and care.

Individuality

I am extremely proud of the fact that all my creations are one of a kind. No two pictures are alike. They make a wonderful gift for that special someone, or perhaps just as a treat to yourself.

Supporting Local Businesses

Being Yorkshire farmers, we believe in shopping local. The wood for my frames is sourced locally, any commercial wool I use is purchased locally too. Even my spindles are made from my sons old stabiliser wheels, which of course were purchased locally 30  years ago!!

Who we are

I am a farmer and a farmers wife.  My animals are a big part of my everyday life, I breed, lamb, rear and shear and many of my female offspring spend their entire life living happily on my farm.

I spend many hours creating unique wool works of art.  Each piece is 'One of a kind', individual and lovingly made by me.

My pictures are created using a combination of fleeces from my flock both dyed, undyed and homespun alongside some commercial yarns brought into the mix for their colouring.

Each picture is framed by me in a handmade wooden frame in order to enhance its individual uniqueness.

It has been me and my husband Michael who have sheared my sheep over the summer; it is something we have done for several years already and have dreamed of having our girls' fleeces processed into knitting and crafting yarn for years.

Back in August 2021 we took our first ever consignment of fleeces to the ‘Halifax Spinning Mill' at Carnaby, Bridlington, a family run mill where my wool was lovingly turned into yarn by mill owners Paul and his wife Mairhi.

I will be producing pictures with some of the yarn, some will be available to buy by the ball, please fill in the contact form if you're interested or email me direct if you have special requirements.   Also available will be knitting kits complete with our own girls yarn and patterns written by local designer Jane Terzza, I am very excited about these and they are proving very popular.

Fast forward to July 2022 and I went back to the Mill to collect my consignment of yarn which has been lovingly spun into double knit yarn. It is available to buy please contact me.
